BOOB JOB - Isa muling balitang Pampainip

If Gloria Macapagal Arroyo can make secret a trip to Colombia, more so the real aim of her overnight stay at Asian Hospital. The post-travel self-quarantine for A(H1N1) is a handy cover for gynecological procedures. The President has been suffering dysfunctional bleeding, likely due to polyps or myoma in the uterus. She had first walked into the hospital one dawn in 2008 for D&C (dilation and curettage) and left at dusk. News then was that she had an executive check. She’s had three follow-ups this year, the last in June. Menopause is inducing abnormal tissue growth and hormonal imbalance, a source said.

Wednesday dawn Arroyo checked in again — for less serious causes. She needed mammoplastic repair of leaking breast implants done in the ’80s. Occasion too to have doctors take out an inguinal cyst (in the groin), and laser off extra hair growth in that area and the armpits. Though a bit groggy, Arroyo was set to check out yesterday afternoon.

Hospitalizing a President isn’t easy. Patients in five rooms at the VIP 10th floor had to be moved, to billet bodyguards and cooks; P4,000@, or total P20,000 a day. Arroyo was given two connecting suites, P18,000@, or total P36,000 a day, one for her, the other for the family.

Huh? San galing to at may basehan ba o tsismis lang? Don't get me wrong, I am not at all a fan of GMA, pero mas maraming bagay na dapat siguro pinupuna bukod sa medical issues nya, kung totoo man lang ba ang mga to. I get it, she spent a lot of money on her hospitalization, but it really doesn't even seem that much, especially considering she's the president (if you've been hospitalized lately, you'll know that this is not very extraordinary). And seriously, if her condition's not life-threatening and thus an issue of national security, I really don't see the big deal about her going to the hospital. These things are supposed to still be private, right? I mean, there's confidentiality laws (supposedly) protecting patients from having these information made public. I mean, if I were having polyps in my uterus, I'd probably tell people that I'm going on preventive quarantine for swine flu virus as well. And she didn't have a boob job done. Jeez people, we all hate Arroyo, but we don't need to go to this level, there's enough valid things to criticize her for- I just don't think being sick and having herself treated should be one of them.

I meant "if I were having my polyps in my uterus removed..."

Ok, I read up more on it. She did have breast implants. So, she lied about why she was in the hospital, just like she's lied about almost everything, but I wouldn't fault her for this one. I don't even think we really needed to know about all of it, or have so much attention paid to it. For all we know, it's a diversionary tactic to keep us from looking at other, more sinister things..

OH COME ON!!!! Jarius Bondoc?!? Are you kidding me? This is tabloid journalism! Mas bagay ang article na to sa Showbiz page ng Abante!

I knew Asian Hospital because i worked there before, and in the same floor too! The VIP rooms (2) there are made for people like her (VIP) I think its appropriate, for a president of a country to be given a VIP treatment. When I was there, Sen. Revilla had been my patient on that same room, as well as Aga and Charlene when Charlene gave birth to her twins. Nobody questions Sen. Revilla before... why are they questioning her now?

And what is the importance of her leaking boob job in the interest of national scrutiny? Just because she's the president doesnt mean she's immmune to all dieases!

Jarius Bondoc...and to all your alipores, give us a break! Write something more relevant! Write something about "patient privacy"

ok, if you believed that it's not a matter of national security and the president should have a little privacy.it's up to you..but the constitution states that "Section 12. In case of serious illness of the President, the public shall be informed of the state of his health. The members of the Cabinet in charge of national security and foreign relations and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, shall not be denied access to the President during such illness". Maybe it's not so serious just like the issues on Jamiah Islamiya terrorist acts, but still it is a matter of national security. and JP, jarius Bondoc is not a typical columnist. FYI, he's the one who dig deeper on issues just what he did on ZTE scandal.
